Tom Fennell, a Principal and Managing Broker for Dickson Commercial Group (DCG), recently obtained his Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR) designation. Held with great prestige and exclusivity, Tom also received a dual credential for gaining at least five years of experience in the highly specialized fields of industrial and office real estate.

As the world’s leading industrial and office brokerage association, SIOR represents 3,600 members in 722 cities and 42 countries. With only 144 dual specialists worldwide, or 4% specializing in both industries, the dual specialist is a highly reputable classification.

With real estate in his blood, more than 14 years of industry experience, and degrees in accounting and finance, Tom is a professional symbol of knowledge, production, and ethics. Closing on average more than 30 transactions per year, he works diligently to understand the needs of his clients and his community.

“I feel grateful to have earned my SIOR designation and to join the ranks of some of the best and most respected brokers in the world,” said Tom in his DCG statement. “I look forward to continuing to serve my company and clients to the best of my ability.”

In 2014, Tom helped form DCG, a full-service commercial real estate firm in Reno. Since then, he helped close some of the most significant commercial real estate transitions in Northern Nevada history. Some examples of this include Tesla’s purchase of the former Panasonic factory site in Storey County and the $34 million sale of South Meadows Promenade Shopping Center

Active in the Northern Nevada community, Tom currently serves as the President and is on the Board of Directors for Nevada Bighorns Unlimited, a Nevada wildlife conservation organization. He also sits on the advisory board for The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a Certified Commercial Investment member for commercial and investment properties. But Tom’s achievements and community engagements don’t stop there.

Here’s a more detailed list of Tom’s leading industry efforts:

Tom joins principal Scott Shanks and top agents Travis Hansen and Joel Fountain as DCG’s fourth SIOR designee. With this quartet of highly specialized REALTORS, DCG is well-positioned to provide its clients with exceptional service and expertise.

“We’re very proud of Tom and his recent SIOR designation. Tom has established himself as a respected broker, partner, and expert in the office and industrial market here in Northern Nevada,” said Shanks in his DCG statement.

For more than 75 years, SIOR has represented the world’s top commercial real estate professionals. Designees can hold designations in industrial, office, industrial and office (dual), sales manager, executive manager, or advisory service.
