With a new year comes new opportunities. Recently, I became the Vice President of Relocation at Dickson Realty. Before taking over the post, I sat down with Kylie Rowe, who previously held the position, to introduce myself and talk about my experience and goals. Here are some highlights from our conversation.
Kylie: Tell us about yourself!
Chris: I was born and raised in Reno, and my family has lived here for five generations. I went away to college in New York, where I got an economics degree. I worked in an equities firm after graduating and lived there for about seven years. I moved back to Reno in 2008, and I joined Dickson in 2010 as a residential agent. A couple of years ago, I started getting more involved with Dickson’s leadership team, and I’m excited to step into the relocation side of things.
Kylie: So, tell me what you’re thinking for the next year. What are you going to be doing?
Chris: I think that Dickson has a really unique place in our market. We’re really the community insiders, so we have a unique set of services that we can offer new recruits moving into the area, new businesses coming our way or existing businesses that are bringing in people who haven’t lived here before. We can really help out with more than just the residential real estate side of things. We can get you tied into the community.
That’s what I noticed with Dickson when I moved back here. Nancy Fennell and the Dickson team really did a lot for me to help me get tied back in when I had been gone. They helped to team me up with organizations that matter to me and to meet leaders in our community.
Kylie: I completely agree. Nancy and Harvey Fennell, who are part of the owners of Dickson Realty, have been doing this for over 40 years. It’s so great to be working at this independently owned company that does have such a community presence and cares so much. I am really excited for you and I think that you’re going do really great things.
Chris: Thank you so much!
