The Nevada Division of Emergency Management (NDEM) is hosting a FEMA training for Home and Business Earthquake Safety and Mitigation and Reducing the Risks of Nonstructural Earthquake Damage. The target audience for the training is home/property owners, building owners, small business owners, emergency manager, and the general public.

The goal of this training is to address safety issues and ways to reduce risks when an earthquake occurs. There will be hands on demonstrations as well as an in-depth look at nonstructural earthquake risks.

The training will be held on May 12, 2015 at the Washoe County Regional Emergency Operations Center , the first training is from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and the second is  from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more details check out NDEM’s flyer: FEMA E-74 (1) Registration for the training can be done online.
