The 32nd Annual Alpen Wine Fest offers wine tasting from over 40 wineries and live music from Peter DeMattei and Dom & Friends, all benefitting Can Do MS, a non-profit foundation. Your donation includes an Alpen Wine Fest wine glass, all-inclusive tasting, and entry into the entertainment location.
Tai Chi Chuan with Dave Norehad

Join Dave Norehad, a third-generation student/trainer in the lineage of Master Cheng, and work at slowing the aging process. Practicing Tai Chi has shown to improve everyday stress response, reduce fall rates by 40%, and improve strength, flexibility and balance. Sessions are from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for a daily rate of $20 or $17 with your IVGID Pass.
The Great Reno Balloon Race

The Great Reno Balloon Race soars into Reno for its 41st year with 80+ colorful hot-air balloons. Although it is an early morning event there’s no doubt that the Super Glow Show and Dawn Patrol are worth waking up before the sun rises – it’s mesmerizing to watch these special balloons light up the morning darkness. And as the sun begins to rise so do the balloons during Mass Ascension, dotting the northern Nevada sky with their beauty. Walk Balloon Boulevard for crafts, souvenirs, food and hot drinks – perfect for a chilly early September morning.

In 1919, the town of Genoa sought street lights and the town’s ladies organized the inaugural Genoa Candy Dance and Dinner to fundraiser. Fast forward to 2023, and the tradition lives on as the Genoa Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Faire, still supporting the community. Take a day to relish this historic town and the faire, featuring 300+ arts and crafts vendors, activities, and food stalls.
