Northern Nevada Real Estate Agents Who Give Back
Allyson Edgington, a licensed Realtor at the Damonte Ranch office, is a native Nevadan and former dental hygienist. She was born in Winnemucca and moved to Reno at age 3. She enjoys serving her clients and helping them through the emotional experience of buying or selling a home. She has been married for 30 years and has two grown sons.
Edgington is a third-term board member and co-chair of the bike team for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). She’s been a volunteer with the organization for 20 years, helping to raise money through various events such as walks, bike rides, and galas. She was inspired to help JDRF by her son and husband, who live with diabetes. To learn more and get involved with JDRF, click here.
Kellen Flanigan is a broker/salesperson at the Caughlin Ranch office and is married to Rob Stinnett and has two adult children. She and her husband invest, build, and remodel residential projects and also are road cyclists, skiers, and volunteers.
One organization that’s particularly close to Flanigan’s heart is Casa de Vida, a private non-profit corporation that provides housing and support services for pregnant young women in Northern Nevada. Flanigan serves as a mentor at the organization, and tutors young women served by the organization every week, helping them with GED test preparation and life skill development. Michael Givens is a fifth-generation Nevadan who grew up in Reno and is a licensed Realtor who works out of the downtown Reno office. He loves to travel, but nothing makes him happier than coming home to Reno with its beautiful landscape.
He is on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada (BBBSNN) as secretary. He has been on the board for a handful of years and believes in mentoring youths since they are the future. Givens also has been a Big Brother for about six years.
