Steeped in history and surrounded by stunning views, Rancharrah is adding more homes to Reno and one-of-a-kind amenities and activities. The mature landscaping and beautiful environment completely transport you to another place in time.

The entire community is being built on the land that was part of the legendary estate of Bill Harrah, one of Reno’s most influential names in the gaming industry and the founder of Harrah’s Casino. He originally built the mansion that now houses the clubhouse in 1957.

Now, one of the most iconic properties in the region is being transformed. When it’s complete, this 141-acre master plan community will include 555 homes in eight neighborhoods and an exclusive clubhouse and nearby village with a spa, shopping, and dining. It’s also located in the heart of south Reno, offering a luxury, resort-style lifestyle that’s close to everything.

Here’s what’s being built now and coming on to the market.

New homes at Rancharrah

There are two neighborhoods being built by the Toll Brothers Company:

Latigo

The Latigo neighborhood will feature single-story and two-story home designs ranging from 2,600-4,600 square feet for these luxury residences. There are currently five homes available, and more are coming on the market soon. These homes feature access to boutique shopping and dining at the Village at Rancharrah and private, direct resident access to nearby parks.

Cantaro

In the Cantaro neighborhood, buyers will find homes ranging from 1,800 square feet to 2,800 square feet, with prices starting in the mid $600,000s. Cantaro is built for a carefree life with access to upscale amenities, and the homes will feature plenty of design options. The newest community in Rancharrah is also a development of the Toll Brothers Company. It will feature a 52,000 square-foot state-of-the-art equestrian center, access to the Village at Rancharrah, and more.

In addition to Latigo and Cantaro, another single-family home neighborhood is in the works and more information will be available about it soon.

Custom homes

My husband and I were fortunate enough to invest early in the development of Rancharrah and begin developing a custom home there. There are two neighborhoods where other individuals can do this as well: Lariat and Riata.

Both of these neighborhoods are close to the Club at Rancharrah. This iconic building has been reimagined to become a luxury clubhouse that features fine dining, an outdoor pool, fitness, and a spa.

Whether members need to sweat it out on a treadmill or pump out some iron, the Club’s three-level fitness center features state-of-the-art equipment. To achieve their goals, members can use Matrix cardio and strength machines, Inflight Fitness free-weights, Keiser spin bikes, and Balanced Body Reformers.

For those looking to unwind, the Spa at Rancharrah delivers a quality relaxation experience all in one serene setting. Members can pamper themselves at the nail salon, enjoy a massage in one of the beautifully appointed treatment rooms, or unwind over a cup of tea in the relaxation lounge. With over 8,560 square feet of space and plenty of men’s and women’s lockers, the Club’s spa is the perfect retreat.

The restaurant and bar, Nineteen 57, features wood-fired pizzas, hand-pulled pasta, delectable steaks, and delightful drinks from their accomplished chefs.

Outdoors, members can enjoy two bocce ball courts, pickleball courts, dining and backyard games, and walking trails that connect Rancharrah and nearby Bartley Ranch Regional Park and Huffaker Park. Next spring, the Club plans to announce the opening of the pool, hot tub, and cabana areas.

Equestrian members are in luck: members can board their horses at Rancharrah for a waived member fee and are only responsible for monthly dues.

The Club at Rancharrah offers four membership types: residential, non-residential, corporate, and equestrian. All members have access to The Club’s full amenities and are encouraged to host guests throughout the year. For pricing information, visit rancharrah.com/membership.

Tucked into Rancharrah, yet easily accessible from McCarran Boulevard, The Village at Rancharrah is getting ready to open for shopping and special events.

“The grass is in. The trees and plants are in. The beautiful 500,000 BTU fireplace (!!!) has been turned on, and we are looking forward to roasting s’ mores and drinking hot cocoa there when we open in the fall,” according to an update on The Village’s website. “The Village is becoming less of a construction site and more a place of beauty.”

While the opening of the restaurants will be delayed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Village plans to open its doors soon for shopping and special events. For more information about The Village, visit villageatrancharrah.com.
