As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our community, one thing has become abundantly clear–we need to say “Thank you!” to the people who are keeping us safe and supplied.

In honor of those individuals, many Nevada residents plan to join together to say “thank you” to all those on the front lines at noon on Friday, April 10.

Saying “Thank You” To Nevada Workers

Let’s Give Them A Hand NV” is a virtual thank you celebration being organized to show support for the doctors, nurses, hospital workers, fire, police, and paramedics who are tirelessly working to protect our community and save lives.  Organizers want to thank the store clerks, the stock boys, the truck drivers, and warehouse workers who continue to keep goods flowing throughout our country.

To participate, Nevadans are encouraged to go outside of their home or office, stand on the streets and sidewalks while observing social distancing, and clap for our community workers.

“Sing a song while you clap, say a prayer, whatever you chose to show your thanks for those who are working so hard to keep us safe,” organizers said.

People who participate are also encouraged to take a photo or video of their “thank you” and post it on social media using the hashtag #LetsGiveThemAHandNV”.

To help spread the word about this statewide event, residents are encouraged to post signs on their homes inviting neighbors to join in on Friday at noon.
