Nevada Bighorns Unlimited
With a mission to improve Nevada’s natural wildlife resources, Nevada Bighorn Unlimited (NBU) has reintroduced bighorn sheep to more than 60 mountain ranges in the state. In these efforts, this nonprofit organization—with more than 3,500 members—helps raise funds for habitat conservation and improvement, public education, and biological and scientific research. From a single-room HIV/AIDS clinic to a 38,000-square-foot community health center, Northern Nevada HOPES has grown significantly since 1997. One of its programs, the Demin Drive, provides new clothing, teddy bears, books, and rolling backpacks to children facing critical situations. Sports 4 All NV creates community and philanthropic partnerships that open sporting opportunities for children ages K-12.
