Nevada Bighorns Unlimited
With a mission to improve Nevada’s natural wildlife resources, Nevada Bighorn Unlimited (NBU) has reintroduced bighorn sheep to more than 60 mountain ranges in the state. One of its programs, the Demin Drive, provides new clothing, teddy bears, books, and rolling backpacks to children facing critical situations. STEP2 provides gender-specific long-term treatment for substance use disorders, domestic violence intervention, and more. With a 20-bed residential facility, 25 transitional housing cottages, and a 13,000-square-foot family counseling center, this local nonprofit serves approximately 200 families annually.
