Just in time for summer, the Club at ArrowCreek opened Phase 1 of its amazing $40 million renovation. The new amenities are world-class, offering the level of upscale service and ambiance you would expect at a luxurious hotel or resort. The best part? It’s right in your backyard.
Under new oversight by leading golf management company Troon, the contemporary Clubhouse facelift features 12.5 acres of outdoor extravaganza. Whether you’re a golf aficionado or just looking to relax, there’s something for everyone. The fully-furnished 15,000 square-foot deck showcases a new 5,000 square foot pool complex with areas to swim or splash in the family, adult, or children’s pools. To elevate your poolside experience, indulge in one of six Cabanas or gather around the large fire pit. There are also locker rooms available for your storage convenience.
The adjacent full-service bar and restaurant provide several dining options, both open-air and enclosed. Multiple flat-screen televisions enhance the social experience. The revised menu offers everything from mouth-watering burgers to refreshing salads and creative Tapas. If you are more inclined to BYO, there’s an outdoor built-in grill area to barbeque up your favorite summertime feast. The poolside kitchen also offers “grab-n-go” options for golfers spinning through.
Speaking of golf, the “Backyard” golf amenities are a Hole-in-One. The brand-new putting greens were redesigned to include low-level lighting for sunset golf. The chipping green was relocated to allow for a more private short-game practice. The expanded Driving Range was completely remodeled and features a separate Golf Performance building with two indoor hitting bays for instruction. Golf cart traffic flow, private cart parking, and tournament staging for carts were also reconfigured, and more trailheads will be added shortly. The Pro Shop is also expanding its services with a Putting Lab, club fitting and club repair.
The renovation also features Bocce Ball courts, fire pits, an expansive Member Event patio, a trellis area for outdoor entertainment, and a large lawn for special member events. These areas were thoughtfully designed to capture the glorious city and mountain views.
The entire renovation will take place over three Phases. With Phase I nearly realized, we look forward to Phase 2, which will see a complete overhaul of the main Clubhouse. This expansion will include two new member dining rooms, a café, an extensive bar area, a display kitchen, pizza oven, meeting and special event space, an upgraded Ladies Locker Room, a new Fitness Center, and an indoor/outdoor kids’ area. The space will nearly double in size from 22,000 square feet to over 40,000. Phase 3 will incorporate a separate building with four indoor Pickleball courts.
The Club at ArrowCreek boasts 36 holes of golf, including The Legend Course, designed by golf great Arnold Palmer, and The Challenge Course, designed by Fuzzy Zoeller. In addition to the “Backyard” renovation, the golf courses themselves have seen aggressive improvements. Just in March 2018, a hefty $1 million was spent on bunker restoration, and new Yamaha Quiet Tech golf carts were added to the fleet. The course is kept in prime condition with upgraded turf maintenance equipment such as a new top dresser spreader, verticutter, and aeration and irrigation. Higher quality sand and cart path repairs have also been prioritized, along with increasing golf course maintenance staff by 30 percent.
Situated on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, ArrowCreek is a picturesque, family-friendly neighborhood that combines luxury and accessibility. The gated golf course community offers 24-hour security. It is located just minutes from top-rated Hunsberger Elementary School, Galena High School, and the new Marce Herz Middle School, which is slated to open this fall.
All ArrowCreek residents have access to the separate Residents’ Center, which offers three pools, hot tub, exercise room, tennis and pickleball courts, playground, and dog park. And within and around the neighborhood, there are lots of great hiking trails that put those beautiful mountain and city views on full display. The new Clubhouse complex is available for enjoyment by Golf Members and Sports Members exclusively. Contact the Membership Director for more details.
It’s been a highly-anticipated project, and we couldn’t be more thrilled at the progress. Imagine enjoying a cocktail by the pool with friends, having just finished a round of golf up high in the mountains, overlooking the city. It’s that resort quality of life that makes ArrowCreek so special.
