Reno Ice Rink

If you’re looking for a fun activity to do in the cold, visit the Greater Nevada Field’s Reno Ice Rink. Open through February, the ice rink is great for big or small groups. City of Sparks Hometown Christmas Celebration

Celebrate the 12 Nevada days of Christmas with the annual City of Sparks Hometown Christmas Celebration! Starting with a tree lighting 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Dec. 1, followed by a Christmas parade 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 2 all at Victorian Square. This event will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit.

The Nutcracker at Grand Sierra Resort

The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is kicking off the holiday season with The Nutcracker presented by Bay Pointe Ballet. All ages are welcome! Shows will be 2 p.m., Dec. 2, and 2 p.m., Dec. 3, m in the Grand Sierra Theatre. Get your tickets online!

39 North Pole Village  

39 North Downtown is hosting its second annual 39 North Pole Village. Explore the display of lights and take a picture with Santa. The event will take place from 4–9 p.m. Dec. 7–8, and 12–9 p.m., Dec. 9m. in Victorian Square.

2017 Great Santa Dash

Put on a costume and participate in the 2017 Great Santa Dash! This will be the fifth year for this 5k fun run along the Truckee River. Nevada Chamber Music Festival
