New to the area, considering a move here or just a parent desperate to find ways to entertain your kids in Sparks this Summer?  Here are some upcoming activities, events and other ideas for beating the sizzling Summer heat with your kids.

Sparks Parks & Recreation has a guide to all kinds of activities, sports and more.  Sparks Summer Activity Guide.  Deer Park Pool has $2 Tuesday, page 15 and there is a Kids Triathlon Sparks – September 10th, page 33. And so much more.

Scheels at the Outlets at Sparks has a series of Kids Fit Club Activities every month.  Hiking 7/8, football 8/12, gymnastics 9/9, baseball 10/7, hockey 11/1 and running 12/2.  Don’t forget the famous Ferris Wheel inside Scheels which operates daily during store hours.

While you are at the Outlets at Sparks cool off in the fun splash pad water feature in center court.

Next door to the Outlets is the Sparks Marina.  You can fish, swim, or bring your dog to the dog park.  Learn more here.  The swimming beach is open from 11:30 to 5:30-6:00 throughout the Summer months and lifeguards are on duty.
