There is always so much to do during Artown each year, and this year is no different. But if you do anything, be sure to attend Revolution on the River, a unique event, debuting this year.

Revolution on the River will celebrate all things French for Bastille Day, July 13th. The event begins at noon and is FREE to the public, so bring the entire family and all your friends!

Where: Truckee River banks along Riverside Drive and Lunsford Park

Enjoy Carnival-like French Festivities!

This event will feature a Let-Them-Eat-Cake Decorating Contest (with pre-registered amateur and expert bakers vying for great prizes), plein air painters, strolling models from the Great Basin Costume Society in period dress, French music, a puppeteer entertaining kids of all ages, and French braids by Hello Darling Salon.

Street closures on Riverside Drive provide a rare opportunity to enjoy new businesses in the neighborhood (such as Beaujolais Bistro, The Hub, Dorinda’s, Hello Darling, Lululemon), as well as access to the river and Lunsford Park.
