Dickson Realty is very proud to announce that Amy Shocket of our Sparks office has been elected to the position of Region 4 Vice President for Women’s Council of REALTORS®. Region 4 is one of 9 regions and includes Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. Amy was installed at the 75th Anniversary Inaugural Banquet in San Francisco on Saturday, November 9th during the 2013 National Conference.
Women’s Council is a network of successful REALTORS, advancing women as professionals and leaders in business, the industry and the communities they serve. Women’s Council is the twelfth largest U.S. women’s professional organizations and as Region 4 Vice President, Ms. Shocket will be responsible for over-seeing 18 local chapters with approximately 700 members throughout the region and will sit on the National Governing Board and National Nominating Committee.
Amy has been a member of Women’s Council’s Northern Nevada Chapter since 2007 where she has served as Local Chapter President in 2009 and again in 2011. She has also held the office of Nevada State President and Nevada Governor.
Amy Shocket is one of our hardest working agents. In 2009 the Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS® awarded Amy with the Matt Gibbons Memorial Award, an award given to a volunteer member with high ethical standards and professional accomplishments. She is not only a seasoned REALTOR, her expertise includes designations for Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Short Sale Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Five Star Institute’s Short Sale Certification.
