“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”  John Quincy Adams

Being a leader is just something that I seem to have always done.  When my children were young I was involved in PTA leadership.  When I became a REALTOR I became involved with Women’s Council of REALTORS and now hold the leadership position for our local chapter.  Currently I am running for a Director position with the Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS.  I don’t often stop to ask myself, “Why be a leader?”  I don’t give much thought to what motivates me to be actively involved in leadership positions.  In the famous words of Nike – I “Just Do It”.

The quotation above by John Quincy Adams I think tells a lot about why I am involved in leadership in the local real estate community.  I want to inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.  I want the buyers I represent to dream more about the home they want to buy and to learn more about the process of home buying.  I want my fellow REALTORS to learn more and do more for their clients because by doing this they can become more.  I want the members of our community to learn more about our neighborhoods and do more for their neighbors in order to dream more about making our communities the best they can be.

I want to dream more, learn more and do more so that I can become more – more to my clients, my colleagues, my community, and my family – A LEADER.
