Reno Artists will be opening their studios to the public in the first-ever Reno Open Studios tour.
Twenty of Reno’s finest artists will open their studios and their stories to you. You will have the opportunity to go visit them on the first ever Reno Open Studio event. This event will be self-guided and self-paced. You decide who you want to see and how long you stay in their studio. The best part… it’s FREE. You will have the opportunity to buy artwork directly from the artist.
This inaugural event is sponsored by the Sierra Arts Foundation and will be held on September 12th and 13th from 10am to 5pm daily. Free maps with studio locations and a description of the type of art featured are available at many locations throughout Reno including area libraries, the Nevada Museum of Art, Nevada Fine Arts, Eagle Frames, and Pathways Spirit. A description of each artist’s work is available at www.renoopenstudios.com.
The broad array of media presented will include oils, acrylics, watercolors, glass, wood, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and ceramics. Most of the artists are regionally or nationally known and collected.
