It’s also time to celebrate Carson Valley at the 113th Annual Carson Valley Days Festival and enjoy a brew or two from Sierra Nevada, Battle Born Beer, and Great Basin Brewing Co. at the Capital City Brewfest.
Nevada State Fair
- When: Thursday, June 1, 2023 – Sunday, June 4, 2023
- Where: Mills Park, 111 E. William St., Carson City
The capital is celebrating the great State of Nevada at the Nevada State Fair again this June – originally founded in 1874 this is Nevada’s longest-running event! You’ll revel in four days of entertainment, carnival rides, culture, music, and more. The fair is free, and you’re welcome to bring your four-legged family member, leashed, of course.
Ride for Tomorrow – An Epic Scavenger Hunt
- When: Saturday, June 3, 2023
- Where: Big Daddy’s Bike & Brew, 1546 U.S. Hwy 395 North, Gardnerville
Grab your friends and family, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, wagons, or running shoes, and be a part of something big! Ride for Tomorrow helps to raise money for the Suicide Prevention Network, it is no secret that suicide is affecting people of all ages, and your registration fees, raffle ticket purchases, and silent auction bids will 100% support Carson Valley in this important cause. The scavenger hunt is an event for all ages – register with a fun team name and help bring hope to the community.
Backcountry Festival
- When: Friday, June 2, 2023 – Sunday, June 4, 2023
- Where: Corley Ranch, 859 U.S. Hwy 395 N, Gardnerville
Country music your twang? – then we have a festival for you! This lineup of country music is full of top performers from Midland to Ashley McBryde, Whitey Morgan & the 78s to Vincent Neil Emerson, and so many more! Your host is the Corley Ranch, a real working ranch raising cattle, farming, hay and pumpkins located in the beautiful Carson Valley. There will be RV and car camping available, and BBQ & brews – purchase tickets online!
113th Annual Carson Valley Days Festival
- When: Thursday, June 8, 2023 – Sunday, June 11, 2023
- Where: Lampe Park, 1324 Waterloo Ln., Gardnerville
The 113th Annual Carson Valley Day’s theme this year is “Aloha, Carson Valley!” so get your ‘ohana together and join the excitement! There will be live music, carnival rides, a craft fair, vendors, good food, and a parade on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. And, join one of the many tournaments that will be held throughout the event – horse shoes, basketball, or corn hole, there’s a game for everyone.
Capital City Brewfest
- When: Saturday, June 24, 2023
- Where: Downtown Carson City, Curry Street at McFadden Plaza
Summer and brews go together – get your pour on in Downtown Carson City and enjoy over two dozen brewers from Revision Brewing Company to Pigeon Head Brewery, and Belching Beaver Brewery to Lead Dog Brewing, and more! Food trucks and live music will round out this event that helps fund Rotary youth and community projects in Carson City. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
