It’s no secret that restaurants in Incline Village offer diverse and delectable cuisines catering to people of all ages. They also serve as a relaxing and warm respite after a hard day’s work—or, for many who enjoy the Lake Tahoe recreation lifestyle, a fun day on the slopes.
As a wonderful winter season full of snowfall begins to wind down, here are three recommendations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurants with comfort food and welcoming vibes to warm you up heading into spring.
Fumo is One of The Best Brunch Restaurants in Incline Village
Ever since Nellie and Jonas Saia acquired Fumo Lake Tahoe in 2019, they’ve evolved the eatery into one of Incline Village’s best restaurants. While Fumo—which is the Italian word for “smoke”—is a haven for hearty food and conversation for lunch and dinner, it’s quickly become one of Tahoe’s must-stop spots for brunch. Here’s just a sampling of what to expect:
Savory Breakfast Starters
A few noteworthy options include cheddar cheese biscuits and gravy, lobster deviled eggs, and the “Peach’n Burrata,” a combination of peaches, burrata, and a balsamic glaze that tastes even better when you order prosciutto with it.
Syrupy And Sweet
Fumo’s famed syrup-infused plates include a Belgian Pearl sugar waffle called the “Sw-e-e-t Caroline” and the “Monte Croissant,” a different take on the Monte Cristo sandwich featuring Fumo’s famous croissant French toast.
Signature Dishes
Other delicious ideas include the “DP Ski,” a Diamond Peak Ski Resort-inspired avocado toast loaded with two poached eggs, hollandaise, red onion, tomato, and fresh herbs, and “The Local,” a chef’s cut steak with béarnaise, eggs, and potatoes.
Located in the Country Club Mall across the street from the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Fumo is open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and closed on Tuesdays.
Austin’s Incline Village Takes Lunch to a New Level
Just a few paces away from Fumo in the same strip mall is Austin’s Restaurant & Bar, an Incline Village favorite also owned by the Saias, that prides itself on offering “comfort food for the soul,” as we’ve covered previously.
Every morning, the crew at Austin’s dices, slices, shreds, mixes, and bakes signature dishes from scratch. And while Austin’s offers a delightful dinner atmosphere, its midday meals are truly what set it apart as one of the best Incline Village lunch locations.
Austin’s takes its comfort food slogan to heart, highlighted by its acclaimed chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak, both served with mashed potatoes and gravy. Speaking of chicken fried, here’s a special tip: Do yourself a favor and order the chicken-fried bacon; you won’t regret it.

More Mouth-Watering Lunch Options
- Austin’s Buttermilk Fries: The buttermilk batter elevates an otherwise standard French fry, made even better when paired with a yummy jalapeño aioli.
- Austin’s-Style Chicken Sandwich: For a healthier un-fried option, this sando’s star is a grilled chicken filet coated in a custom rub.
- Austin’s Salad: Fresh romaine lettuce, tomato, green onion, and tortilla strips are topped with a tangy honey mustard peanut sauce.
Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays), Austin’s also offers bulk take-out salads, sandwich platters, and more to feed large groups.
Crosby’s Incline Village Offers Something for Everyone
Crosby’s Kitchen & Cocktails is, without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Incline Village. Located in the Christmas Tree Village, Crosby’s carries terrific brunch and lunch options, but its family-friendly service with menu options for all ages pairs perfectly with a comforting evening out.
This longtime locally owned restaurant exudes old-school Incline Village and Nevada with a lively central bar area with video poker slot machines and plenty of TVs, as well as a dining area with warm wood walls, historic photographs, and a simple dining area. But no matter which side of the tavern you’re sitting on, we guarantee the wings will taste equally incredible.
Crosby’s Signature Wings are the eatery’s most storied menu item. Four sauce options—teriyaki, medium, hot, and “Call Your Momma ‘Nitro’ Hot”—are certain to warm you up on a chilly evening. But it’s Crosby’s famous double-dipped wings that take the prize. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed with a dozen of these finger-licking good wings.
Dinner Options Aplenty
If you’re not fancying wings, here are five tasty options Crosby’s dubs its “Great Plates:”
- Crab cake sliders with bacon, cilantro, lime, and pickle.
- Fried chicken and waffles with eggs, house-made maple bourbon syrup, and rosemary.
- Pan-seared salmon filet with garlic butter, asparagus, and rice.
- Mahi Mahi, shrimp, carne asada, or chicken tacos with chipotle sauce and slaw.
- The Crosby Burger, topped with barbecue sauce, bacon, an onion ring, and a fried egg.
Open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily (closed on Wednesdays), Crosby’s and comfort go hand in hand.
