On April 10, 2017 D’Andrea Rising, a group of homeowner’s looking to purchase and redevelop the D’Andrea golf course site, sent a letter and 10 page proposal to the D’Andrea Community Association requesting their approval of handbook changes needed for the project to move forward.
The D’Andrea Community Association met on April 25, 2017 and unanimously approved the requested changes. Next step will be Sparks City Council. To view a copy of the letter and proposed development and handbook changes click here.
The redevelopment plans include the golf course, which will be built on the front nine of the former course, a three-to-four-hole practice facility, an events center with a restaurant and bar, and a new single-family home development surrounding the 8th and 9th holes.
This is good news for the residents of D’Andrea and Sparks. The previous facility was a popular place for weddings and events with a spectacular view of the valley. The new events center and restaurant will be welcome additions to the Sparks area. Golfers will also enjoy an added option for a round of golf.
Homeowners, especially those adjacent to the course, should see a boost in their home values due to this new development. D’Andrea homes currently enjoy an average sales price of $394,390. Here is a link to the Dickson Realty D’Andrea Neighborhood page where you can see homes for sale in the area.
If you live in the D’Andrea area and are considering selling your home, now is a great time. Demand for homes in this neighborhood is high and as of today there are only 7 single family homes listed. Contact an agent today!
