October transforms Virginia City into Hauntober, a month-long celebration of the supernatural. As one of America’s most haunted towns, it’s the ideal destination for spine-tingling events. Join us for Cemetery Gin’s Hunt for Spirits, eerie Bats in the Belfry Guided Ghost tours, the quirky World Championship Outhouse Races, V&T Railroad Pumpkin Patch rides, illuminated adult Lighted Trains, the chilling Hauntober Parade, Safe Trick or Treat, and paranormal tours at various haunted attractions. Mountain & E-Biking

- Where: Tahoe/Truckee areas
Join IVGID Senior Programs for exciting mountain and e-biking adventures! Starting in June, explore scenic bike paths and thrilling off-road trails in the beautiful Tahoe Basin and Truckee region. After the ride, consider joining your fellow bikers for an optional lunch at a local restaurant. Meet at the Recreation Center parking lot at 8:45 a.m. for a punctual 9:00 a.m. departure. Open to seniors aged 55+ (adults 21+ are also welcome). The daily fee is $15, but IVGID Pass holders can enjoy a reduced rate of $12. Don’t miss out on these fantastic biking experiences!
2023 Tahoe Science Conference

This event will unite academic researchers, agency personnel, and community members to explore the profound impact of science on environmental policy, both in the past and for the future.
Lake Tahoe Marathon Events

You can choose between a range of options: run the Friday Lakeside Marathon or the breathtaking all-downhill Nevada Half Marathon. On Saturday, choose between the Cal-Neva Marathon or the scenic Carnelian Bay Half Marathon, and on Sunday, don’t miss the Lake Tahoe Marathon or the stunning downhill Emerald Bay Half Marathon.
