Challenger Learning Center of Northern Nevada

Reach for the stars at the Challenger Learning Center of Northern Nevada. As the local chapter for the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, this nonprofit organization supports the next generation of dreamers. With adventure workshops and state-of-the-art technology, students can experience what it’s like to be an astronaut, scientist, engineer, or medical team member on a NASA-based mission.


Fleischmann Planetarium

If you’re looking for some out-of-this-world activities in Reno, then now is the time to plan a visit to the Fleischmann Planetarium. Located at the University of Nevada, Reno, this 60-seat dome theater is nothing short of spectacular. Visitors can experience space through a science-based adventure show or view the cosmos using world-class Slooh telescopes. Age requirements may vary per show based on content.


K-12 Robotics Center

With a mission to build the STEAM pipeline, the K-12 Robotics Center provides pathways for students to pursue careers in automation, computer science, engineering, and robotics. Supported by Tesla and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), this unique facility recently celebrated its opening and will host K-12 robotic competitions. Students can use the space to design, build, and test prototypes.
