Lori Welsh Talks About Her Passion For Real Estate

What drives you to achieve excellence?

Real estate is my passion. It is an honor and a privilege to assist individuals and families in purchasing or selling their homes. I enjoy the process of listening to clients’ needs and executing a strategy to get them to their end goal. I am an excellent listener, communicator, and out-of-the-box thinker. This has allowed me to give my clients the best results possible. Referrals account for most of my business, which is the highest form of compliment. The relationships I’ve developed over the years are priceless.

What do you love about working with Dickson Realty?

Dickson Realty is a class act and offers the best education, support, management, and real estate agents. We are here to support, encourage, and share information.

I never feel like it’s a competition. Every team member is professional, committed, and operates with the highest integrity from the top down. I’ve made some lifelong friends, and I am proud to be a part of the Dickson family.

What’s your prediction for the Northern Nevada real estate market in 2021?

Nevada is a tax advantage state, and many companies are relocating here. So, I believe our market will continue to rise due to the lack of housing inventory and an influx of people moving to Reno. Higher demand and limited inventory will likely cause housing prices to increase.

How do you give back to our community?

Dickson Realty supports multiple community charities. I enjoy helping at events for the disabled population. I routinely volunteer for the Special Olympics Nevada and Note-Able Music Therapy Services, both of which are near and dear to my heart. My husband is an active Rotarian, and I help with many of his events and activities.

What’s a local insider tip you’d like to share with our readers?

Don’t miss out on Lake Tahoe’s views and its gorgeous hidden lakes, nature, and scenery. I recently had the opportunity to backpack the entire Tahoe Rim Trail. I was blown away by the beautiful trail system lovingly built and maintained by donors and volunteers. The trail is a 165-mile loop around the basin, and you can complete it in segments or a long-distance hike. Lake Tahoe is truly the “crown jewel” of Northern Nevada. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful area. So, put your hiking shoes on and get out there. You’ll be glad you did!
