Whether you’re looking for a pumpkin patch or a corn maze, there are plenty of fun fall activities in Northern Nevada for everyone. Here are three fall activities you should definitely check out before winter arrives.
Fall Activities: Andelin Family Farm Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze
At this family-owned and operated farm in Spanish Springs, you can pick a pumpkin or explore the corn maze. The Fall Festival Pumpkin Patch features pick-your-own pumpkin from a variety of pumpkins. Admission is free for children younger than 2 or costs $7 to $12 and includes other fall activities such as hay rides, pretend cow milking and an Art Barn with coloring, puzzles and more. The farm’s 2018 corn maze’s theme is “Treasure Hunt.” Attendees can explore the maze play in the maze by finding checkpoints.
Fall Activities: Ferrari Farms Fall Festival
Search through more than 40 different varieties of pumpkins, squashes, and gourdes to find the perfect decorations for your harvest season at Ferrari Farms. The farm also features other fall activities such as a 5-acre corn maze with an ever-changing path. Or, enjoy a hay ride on the Ferrari Farms tractor-pulled trailer and get a beautiful view of the farm and the Truckee River.
Fall Activities: Lattin Farms Fall Festival
Every Saturday in October (and Nevada Day, too!) Lattin Farms transforms into a fall festival. You can take a hayride to the farm’s pumpkin patch to find the perfect sized jack-o-lantern. Or, explore the Kid’s Korner, which features a fun place for children to hang out with a cow train, corn box, pedal cars, critterville, and a hay maze. If you go to the farm Oct. 27, you can build a scarecrow to take home with you. The Scarecrow Factory is a fundraiser for several local organizations. At night, see more than 200 carved and lit pumpkins on the Pumpkin Tower.
With pumpkin patches, corn mazes, games and more, these fall activities have some fun for everyone!
