Kylie Rowe, VP of Relocation and Corporate Services presents two video spotlights that cover the latest with Entrepreneurship in northern Nevada.

Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship: The 2012 U.S. Census indicates that women own 36 percent of all businesses. Despite the fact this is a growing number, there is still a lack of representation and engagement among young females. Liset Puentes of the Ozmen Center in The College of Business discusses how few women at the University of Nevada, Reno choose to participate in the Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition. The Ozmen Center recognizes that women face a separate set of challenges and it’s important to connect the on-campus community with the larger entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In the second year of the Ozmen Center Women’s Initiative, all students and community members are invited to be part of the culminating event open to the public on May 24 at the Innevation Center, 450 Sinclair St., during A Night to Recognize Women in Business and Entrepreneurship. The evening will feature a keynote presentation by renowned leadership expert Joelle Jay who will deliver a presentation called, “Getting an Edge: Using Personal Leadership to be a better leader…and lead a better life.” Register here. Read more.
