Sparks should not be overlooked as a great place to visit, live, dine and shop. Developers are not overlooking the area. In a recent announcement Silverwing announced plans to revitalize Victorian Square. Over the next 5-7 years Silverwing will add 1,500 additional housing units with a wide variety of lifestyle options, and 60,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. This will include a remodel of the movie theater into a Galaxy Luxury 14 plex. Exciting times for this area of downtown Sparks which is currently home to some great special events. These new additions will Fountain House and Bridges developments which are already underway with both residential and commercial components.
In addition, yesterday it was reported that the Legends at Sparks Marina will be adding a 40,000 square foot Burlington Coat Factory opening in Spring 2018 and Jersey Mikes, Habit Burger Grill and a free-standing Chick-Fil-A in Fall 2017. In addition, ground was broken earlier in the month for both Hampton Inn and Residence Inn, and H&M opened 26,000 square foot store.
