Beginning on Thursday June 11th, the Farmers Market will be located in Downtown Reno at the Sands Regency Hotel Casino. The event will be held in the parking lot and canopies will also be provided, so rain or shine!
The farmer’s market is scheduled to run for 12 weeks and will be from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. every Thursday. Each week the event will feature anywhere from 60-80 vendors and provide activities for the children, a beer garden, and of course fresh picked produce.
According to the Reno-Gazette Journal, the Sands is joining with Shirley Farmers Markets to roll out the new Downtown event. In 2012 the City of Sparks turned over the well known Victorian Square event to Shirley Farmers Markets and the tradition will continue a little further west. Shirley Farmers Markets includes a list of vendors that will be attending the event on their website and include a map of the event as well. Also important to note, dogs are not allowed at the event with the exception of service animals.
