In the past 3 months, the median price of non-distressed sales in the Reno/Sparks area has continued to increase, with the price being $236,250 in May, increasing to $254,000 in June, and rising even more to $263,500 in July.
The average days on market for non-distressed sales decreased in June to 71 days, but rose slightly to 79 days for July.
Non-distressed homes now account for 88% of sales, while short sales and bank-owned (REO) properties account for a very small percentage of our overall market, 8% and 4% respectively. This is due in part to higher sale prices, which results in more properties with positive equity, and is great news for home owners in the region.
