The format is like March Madness with brackets from all of North America with 4 different areas (Great White North, Rocky Mountain West, Far West and Big East). - GREAT WHITE NORTH – Revelstoke, Fernie, Girdwood, Rossland / Nelson & Whitsler
It’s hard not to choose Truckee / Lake Tahoe area, with 15 different ski areas to choose from all within an hours drive from Truckee. With all types of terrain and deep snow, as much as 800+ inches a year of the fresh white stuff. Most ski areas are 10 to 15 minutes for downtown Truckee; Northstar, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch, Soda Springs, Boreal and Tahoe Donner. The others ski resorts are about 30 – 60 minutes away which include; Homewood, Incline, Heavenly, Sierra at Tahoe, Kirkwood, Diamond Peak & Mt. Rose. Make Truckee your favorite!

I don’t know much about TRUCKEE! In 2012 I visited steamboat springs and found It’s an awesome place for skiing.
