It’s not an exaggeration to say that July is the busiest month in Northern Nevada. In a single day, you can go from a farmers market to an arts workshop to a baseball game and barely catch your breath. That being said, it's hard to keep track of all the goings-on! So, we've put together a lineup of must-attend events.

The Biggest Little City Wing Fest
This All-American event spices up Virginia Street with more than 20,000 pounds of chicken wings! Enjoy two days of finger lickin' chicken wings, live entertainment on outdoor stages, street fair vendors, a VIP Hen House and local celebrity wing judges!
The Reno Phil Presents Pops On The River
One of the best people watching events of the year, Pops on the River is the major fundraising event for the Reno Phil. See the orchestra perform with Broadway vocalists and ogle the decorated tables and costumes throughout the park.
Reno Chalk Art Festival
Atlantis Casino Resort Spa
See stunning chalk art come to life as talented street artists create 3-D paintings using pavement for a canvas. Stroll through the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s west parking lot for two fun-filled days enjoying whimsical chalk art, bites from local food trucks, live entertainment, artisan crafters and more.
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
July 8–Aug. 27
Sand Harbor State Park
Experience the enchantment of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor State Park. Dip your toes in the sand, sip a fantastic wine nearby, eat a gourmet meal and watch first-class entertainment with your friends and family, all while basking in a perfect Lake Tahoe sunset. This year’s festival includes performances of “Love's Labour's Lost” and “The Hound of the Baskervilles."
American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament
Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course
More than 80 of the biggest sports and entertainment stars participate in what is considered to be the country's most prestigious and richest celebrity golf event. Past stars include Justin Timberlake, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Aaron Rodgers, Ray Romano, John Elway, Jerry Rice and Jack Wagner.
Reno Basque Festival
The Basque culture is a big part of Reno's history and tradition. Celebrate Basque heritage with traditional food, music, dancing, and activities including a weight carrying contest, wood chopping demonstration, and war cry contest.
24-Hour Mural Marathon Competition
Circus Circus Reno
In conjunction with Artown, Seven talented artists are invited to compete for the best mural on the side of the Circus Circus hotel. Three winners will walk away with cash prizes, and their work will be displayed on the busiest street in downtown Reno for one year until the following year's competition.
Wanderlust Yoga & Music Festival
Wanderlust brings together the world's leading yoga teachers, musical acts, DJs, renowned speakers, top chefs and winemakers in a setting of breathtaking natural beauty.
Northern Nevada Pride Festival
This event celebrates gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals and their allies to come together in pride! Activities Include music and entertainment, food vendors, educational and service booths, local businesses and non-profits and themed areas.
July 28–Aug. 12
Sierra Nevada College
Forty of the world's most renowned soloists and orchestral musicians from the greatest orchestras of North America and beyond, gather to perform under the artistic direction of Conductor Joel Revzen. The inspired musical performances take place in an acoustical tent on the campus of Sierra Nevada College at Incline Village, in beautiful Lake Tahoe, each Friday and Saturday.
Barracuda Championship, PGA TOUR Golf Tournament
July 31-Aug. 6
Montreux Golf & Country Club
Recognized as a favorite stop among golf professionals, the Barracuda Championship is one of only 47 stops on the PGA TOUR. Fans can watch the world's best golfers up-close-and-personal as they compete for a $3.3 million purse and 300 FedExCup points. Broadcast daily on The Golf Channel.

Every week Reno hosts two food truck events where you can taste a variety of offerings from the region's many mobile bistros.
