The Nevada Museum of Art exhibits Altered Landscape, a Photography Collection from the Carol Franc Buck Foundation consisting of approximately 2,000 photos spanning 60 years from 1931 to 1993 revealing the ways individuals and industries have changed the landscape. The “salon style” exhibit offers a panoramic sweep of the contentious social and political debate on the changing environment. This exhibit will be on display until 7/5. NevadaArt

Whitewater enthusiasts will abound at the annual free Reno River Fest on the Truckee River’s kayak course surrounding Wingfield Park in downtown Reno, benefitting the One Truckee River Management Plan. The action-packed weekend features the USA Freestyle Kayaking National Championships, 100 vendors for food, outdoor merchandise, the River Roll costume bike race, Craft Beer Village, Summer Wine Village.
